Much of the AI sales-tech industry is pitching the same promise to corporate buyers: swap out human account executives for software and shrink payroll. But Anis Bennaceur, cofounder and CEO of the sales-AI company Attention.com, argues the more common outcome is the opposite — companies hiring more salespeople, not fewer, once AI makes each one more effective.
Writing in Fortune, Bennaceur points to one of his own customers, the property-management AI company EliseAI, as his clearest example. Every salesperson at EliseAI now uses AI tools in their workflow, and the company says it has roughly tripled the productivity of its account executives, with several now closing between $5 million and $15 million in business per quarter. Rather than shrinking the team, EliseAI plans to double its sales headcount over the next 12 months.
